Large, excellent and original mounted photograph of Colonel Harry Kessler, Colonel of the 1st Montana Volunteer Infantry leaving Montana in June of 1898 for service in the Philippines and returning in October of 1899. The actual photo is 6 1/4 by 8 inches, and the mounting board is 8 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches. This photo along with others was stored in a trunk since 1899 and therefore they have not been exposed to sunlight.
