Quality Condition Sibley Stove
This is without question the finest Sibley Stove that I have seen or owned. The metal is extremely strong, there are no rusted through areas. Rust visible in the photos is surface rust only. In fact the stove shows little use. There is a little pitting on the door. The door and original hinge are functional. The extra nice feature is the 100% original shelf that surrounds 2/3 rds of the stove for use as a heating area. I have never seen another stove that had it's shelf. Used in the Indian War and Spanish American War periods and a bit later as well. Plan on about $75.00 or so for shipping. All I would do to this nice item is put a coat of flat black spray paint on it and then put it in the collection room.
