100% original suspension medal for the 1905 San Antonio Reunion of the Rough Riders. Very nice original condition. The front shows a likeness of the 5th Army Corps and around it is inscribed; Las Guasimas, Santiago, San Juan. Roosevelt's Rough Riders, San Antonion, 1905. The reverse has a likeness of the Alamo.

A large sized 1 3/4 inch celluloid pinback given out at the very first Rough Rider's Reunion held in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Very small crack in the celluloid, just bit of foxing. Items shows wear but is in quite good condition for it's age. The reverse has the original paper and pin. The paper is inscribed; Rough Rider Reunion Souvenir, Compliments of Ilfeld's Plaza.

Extra crisp and 100% original suspension medal given to the attendees of the 1905 Roosevelt's Rough Riders in San Antonio in 1905. The medal top to bottom is 4 1/4 inches and at it's widest 1 5/8 inches. All complete on the reverse as well, maker Schwaab & S, Milwaukee. Very rare medal. SALE PENDING

Outside image, 5 by 8 inches, taken in Tampa in 1898. The Trooper has a USV insignia on his collar. The 1st USV Cavalry "Rough Riders" were the only Volunteer Cavalry unit in the Cuban Campaign. Photo has one small corner missing, otherwise a nice solid photo. 100% original and scarce. SOLD

Extremely interesting 100% original period cabinet card of 3 Rough Riders. The cabinet card measures 4 1/4 by 6 1/2 inches and was taken in New York, H. Bertram Allard studio, Kingston, NY. The image was most likely taken in September of 1898 as the Troopers have their new Tan uniforms with yelllow facings and stripes which were issue upon their return to Camp Wikoff. The black caption at the bottom of the photo has the following inscription; "Rough Riders Co B for Teddy". Across each Trooper is a State name that represents the areas from where the Rough Riders came. Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arizona. The condition of this card is excellent. It is a one of a kind item. Two identical name tags for attendees of one of the Rough Rider Reunions. I have a lot of photos from the family of Arthur Spencer and these name tags were included. Each tag is complete with the fastening pin on the reverse. Each is 1 3/4 by 2 1/2 inches. Arthur Spencer was a young man from New Mexico and was a member of Company F and a Cuban veteran.

Three rare items from the 1953 Annual reunion which was held in Las Vegas, New Mexico, August 7-8-9, 1953. 1. Colorful soft cover bookelt containg a roster of officers and members by Company of the association, members who had passed on since the last reunion.. The owner of the roster was Ben Colbert of Company F. He has made many, many notes through out the 4 pages, noting who is DEAD and other marks. The booklet is 3 1/2 inches by 6 inches. 2. Ribbon detailing the Membership Medal for the 54th Annual Reunion. 3. second ribbon which was most likely for the wife. All items in above average condtion. SOLD

Rare Port of Tampa Embarkation to Cuba
One of my favorite photographs of the Spanish American War. Dockside in Tampa, Florida, loading ships with men and equipment bound for Santiago De Cuba. Extra nice contrast, and great condition. The photographer was Field, Tamp, Fla. Size is 5 X 8 inches. Great subjects; train cars, transports, men with blanket rolls. The Rough Riders were among the mix of soldiers and equipment on this Dock.
