M1895 3.6 inch Mortar
3.6 inch field mortar model of 1892. These were used in the Cuban Campaign and more extensively in the Philippine Insurrection and Moro Campaign. Watervliet Arsenal produced only 78 of these mortars. There are only 6 in private hands out of 26 known. The others are in museums or parks. They fired a 12 pound rifle projectile, the same round used in the 3.6 inch heavy artillery cannnon of the period. One cannon has been sold but it's twin remains available. Completely functional and ready to fire. The lower bore has damage due to water . Barrel nicely marked 1898, inspector and weight. 100% legal to own. Super display item. I have since had Rick Pohlers build a dove tailed oak stand for the gun so it is fit for the living room.
Price: $50,000.00
