Early Artillery Fuse Pouch
A very nice condition Artilleryman's fuse pouch dating to 1900. These russet items were stamped and dated starting in 1903 and this one was made before that. You see these boxes in period photographs of men serving the 3.2 inch guns, and the smaller Hotchkiss cannons. 100% complete. The carrying strap is full length with the original buckle. The body of the case has not been oiled and the leather is strong. The fastening stud is tight. The original wood fuse block is intact. It has a very good embossed "US" on the cover and the initials, R.I.A. Rock Island Arsenal

1892 Dated Hotchkiss 1.65 Inch Mountain Gun
Excellent original condition 2 pounder Hotchkiss Mountain Gun. Dolf Goldsmith's list of 1.65 inch guns identifies this gun as having been purchase by the US Army in 1892. This is a Friction Primed gun and has not been altered to Center Fire. The bore is very good, the Hotchkiss stampings on the barrel are sharp." No. 204" and "1892" are strong. The original breach block is numbered 205. The original extractor is included. The carriage Hotchkiss data tag shows matching No. 204. The gun has it's original hubs, the wood is sound and original as are the iron tires. It has the brass tow hooks at the hubs and the single tree hooks applied to the trail. The Ram Rod is original as is the brush. The sight is a newly manufactured brass sight but it is identical to the original. In addition to the items mentioned above the Gun will come with a complete package as follows; 1. Ammunition Pack Saddle 2. 2 pounder/1.65 inch Kevin Johnson projectile mold 3. Original common 1.65 inch round 4. original flat nosed canister round. 5. Wood ammunition box made for use on the set of Hidalgo by Rick Pohlers to the exact standards. It is painted an OD color with 1.65 inch etc markings 6. Original tin galvanized Hotchkiss rounds shipping container. This is a significant gun in that it was used by the US Army. It most likely was used during the Spanish American War and Philippine Insurrection. It is not a Thailand or South American gun. **A similar gun with less equipment was sold at Little John's Auction on January 22, 2008 for $55,000 plus a buyers premium of 12% for a total of $61,600. M1885 3.2 inch Cannon Sight Case
Extremely rare case for the M1885 3.2 inch Cannon. This was made for the brass elevation and windage sight for this particular cannon. Capron's Battery and Grimes Battery both used the 3.2 inch Cannons during the Spanish American War, Cuban Campaign.

1890s Galvanzied Tin Canister for Two Pounder Rounds
Standing 30 inches high and having a 12 inch diameter, this can holds twenty (20) 1.65 inch rounds for the Hotchkiss Mountain gun of the Wounded Knee and Spanish American War periods. This is a shipping container with covers on both ends that were soldered in place to prevent moisture from entering. 100% original, both covers and felt pads are included. The original nose fused projectile shown in the photo is sold separately for $225.00. I have several canisters available.
